I want to express my gratitude to Neil Shapiro for sharing his experiences and memories from his time in Vietnam. The photos and his words provide a poignant reminder of the human cost of war and the lasting impact it can have on individuals and their families. Neil's willingness to share his story is a powerful way to honor the memory of his comrades and to raise awareness about the sacrifices made by those who served.

“My heart aches as my daughter trying to surprise me by finding my long time lost buddies, instead found that I was the only one to survive Vietnam.” He continued “This war is going on it’s 55th year for me. Sorry, I may regret posting this, but for some reason I need you to see their faces. Sorry.”

It's important for all of us to acknowledge and remember the faces and stories of those who have served in conflicts, and to recognize the ongoing impact that war can have on veterans. Neil's message serves as a call for remembrance and reflection, and it's a reminder of the importance of supporting veterans and acknowledging the challenges they may face.

If there's a specific way you'd like to honor or support veterans, consider reaching out to local veteran organizations or charities that provide assistance to those who have served. Additionally, taking a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by individuals like Neil and his comrades can foster a deeper appreciation for the human side of military service.

Thank you, Neil, for your service and for sharing your story.
