Say His Name to Remember: SFC George L. Anglin
George Larry Anglin served with great dedication and courage in C Btry, 3rd Bn, 16th Arty Reg, Americal Div. His service and sacrifice are deeply honored.

George Larry Anglin served honorably with Charlie Battery, 3rd Battalion, 16th Artillery Regiment, AMERICAL Division, USARV, during the Vietnam War. Born on August 21, 1941, in Pamlico County, North Carolina, he enlisted in the United States Army through Regular Military channels, beginning his tour of duty on May 16, 1967.
As a Sergeant First Class, Anglin specialized as a Field Artillery Crewman. His commitment to his country was recognized through several commendations, including the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal with two Longevity Devices.
He tragically lost his life on September 30, 1968, due to circumstances recorded as a non-hostile incident. The cause was attributed to illness or injury, classified as a ground casualty.
