Say His Name to Remember: SFC Robert Arthur Gregory

Robert Arthur Gregory was serving in the Vietnam War when he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. He enlisted in the United States Army and began his tour of duty on July 4, 1968, holding the rank of Sergeant First Class. As an Armor Crewman, he was assigned to H Company, 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. His service number was 16509520. Tragically, Gregory died from injuries sustained while on guard duty when a military vehicle rolled backward, pinning him between it and another vehicle. His death was classified as non-hostile due to other causes.
He was transported to the 7th Surgical Hospital at Blackhorse base camp in Long Giao, where he later passed away.
